Flipping open the journal reveals that a number of pages have been torn out throughout the front pages, clearly used as kindling for the unlit fire. The remaining pages each have a single name written on them in the same unsteady hand:

Night, Sky, Ashes, Kitten, Rider, Jaina, Sage, Beauty

There are a number of blank pages still in the book. ]
