[ You find yourself in a square, drab room. The walls are a dingy-looking taupe, the carpet is an indeterminate brownish color, worn thin and packed down from time and many feet. There are a few couches, chairs, and tables scattered around, as threadbare and dingy as everything else in the room, and an old jukebox in the corner that doesn't seem to have any power. The two windows to your left are both boarded up, letting only cracks of light in to compete with the flickering overhead lights. There are two large stains of what look like blood in the middle of the room, and they don’t seem very old, because you can smell a hint of iron in the air underneath the stronger scents of smoke, vomit, and stale beer.
Ahead of you is the only exit, a stairwell going up, and an intercom next to the stairs.
The stairs are blocked by a teenage girl with olive-brown skin, sharply pointed ears, and glossy golden hair. Her neon apple-green eyes watch you suspiciously from her perch a few steps up from the bottom of the staircase, and the bullet wounds in her stomach bleed sluggishly, staining the fabric of her tight t-shirt. Despite her heavy makeup and rat’s nest of hair, she doesn't look a day over fourteen. ]
[ You find yourself in the main living area of Amethyst's treehouse, simple amethyst-colored curtains completely covering the windows, obscuring any potential view outside. The open floor plan includes the kitchen and a general living room type area. The kitchen is simple, with an automatic stove and large oven, wooden cabinets, and basic linoleum flooring. A vase with wilting flowers sits on the counter, along with an empty tea kettle. The large table and seven chairs are nearby, an unlit three-candle candelabra sitting on the table.
The closer half of the room has a large fireplace, unlit but built, with logs on the fire and paper tinder underneath. The paper looks like it's been pulled from a journal that's lying open on the hearth. A large couch sits in front of the fireplace, and bookshelves line a section of one of the curved walls.
A chest and a packed back sit near the door.
The room is dimly lit only from weak light filtering in through the curtains, and there's a distinct feeling that this room belongs to someone who expects to leave at a moment's notice. ]
[ bird takes her to amethyst and now she's very confused but she does the first natural thing to her and that's move the curtains and put water in the kettle to boil. at least she knows this place!! ]
[ The door opens on the main room of a basic apartment's living area.
Ahead of you is the living room. There's a table and chairs, an old television, a worn sofa, and a coffee table with two framed photographs laying face-down on its surface. A girl sits on the sofa, her arms wrapped around herself as she stares at nothing. She has brown hair and blue-grey eyes, and somehow manages to seem to be both 2 years and 16 years old. She doesn't react to your entrance.
To your left is the kitchen, which is clean. The coffee pot is full and hot, spreading the scent of coffee through the room. An answering machine with a blinking message light sits on the counter.
Two doors (other than the one you entered by) lead out of the apartment, one on the left and one on the right of the entrance. A litterbox sits in a corner of the living room, but there is no sign of a cat. ]
[ You step into a wide room, dimly lit by candles and a few scattered torches. The patches of wall and floor that you can see are a strange melded mix of stone and different types of wood, as if multiple rooms had melted together and reformed into one. It's reminiscent of a Great Hall from a castle. There are windows on either side of the hall, all shuttered, and you can see signs of cobwebs and dust all around.
On the far side of the room are three thrones, the one on the right-hand side occupied by a man you can't quite see clearly, and there is an archway of an exit off to the side of the thrones. Near you is an area that's been screened off with a wooden privacy screen. There is a long table of various food and drink along one wall.
And in the center of the hall, in a solitary sunbeam that snuck through a crack in a shutter, a sheathed sword lies on the floor. ]
[ You pass out of the arch and into sunlight, and find yourself in a garden of roses. They are beautiful and perfect, blooming in pink and red and white, but there is no scent in the air that you would expect with so many flowers.
Closer inspection reveals that the rose bushes are made entirely of glass, stained an appropriate color but completely scentless.
The garden has a few little paths weaving through the bushes, and scattered benches here and there. On the other side of the garden, you can see a steep moon bridge passing through tree branches to an unseen other side.
A woman who bears a striking resemblance to Lucky sits on one of the benches - her bench is completely surrounded by the glass rose bushes. ]
[ On the other side of the bridge is a small green lawn sloping down to a shallow pond, bordered by shrubs and trees, with a large willow tree near the bank.
On the other side of the pond, you can see a garden stretching out into the distance. There does not seem to be a way to reach the garden.
The pond looks as though it's meant to house fish, but there is only one fish visible, an amethyst purple koi swimming through the reeds near the shore.
A simple silver knife lays on the bank, catching the light and flashing brightly. ]
[ The pond is significantly deeper than it appeared from the surface, and you sink down steadily for a good five or six seconds before you see anything other than dim greenish-blue light. While you and your clothes react as though you're underwater, you can breathe easily, and do not seem to actually be wet.
After a few seconds of sinking, you pass through a large school of koi, circling slowly. Your feet touch softly on the sand at the bottom of the pond, and indeed it seems much more like you're in an ocean than a pond.
There's a rocky face nearby, a cave entrance set low in it. There is a low light coming from the cave.
Most of the large school of koi are normal orange, white, and black colorings, but the amethyst koi from the surface can be seen swimming among them. ]
[There's a few brief moments of PANIC because oh gods, oh gods, stuck under the water again, he's gonna drown, he's gonna drown in Lucky's heart and that's TERRIBLE, and he can't-]
[Except he can breathe? Apparently? When he accidentally inhales.]
[Oh. Oh thank the gods, that makes things so much better.]
[ The "office" seems to have only been half-built in reality. It's not a proper room - the edges seem to just disappear into nothingness. There's a desk, a filing cabinet, a corkboard covered in fuzzy pictures on the door, and not much else. It's disorienting and puts off an aura of "don't come here".
On the desk is a line of four hand-made candles. ]
[ The voice repeating the candle-light rhyme fades out, and the darkness...
Well. It does not lessen, by any stretch of the imagination, but despite that, you begin to see definition and shapes. They slowly resolve into a large columned room, with tattered tapestries hanging between them and bones and skulls piled here and there.
Some of the skulls are clearly human. Not all of them are.
There's a background hiss of children whispering and giggling ominously, just out of sight. No matter how hard you try, you just can't catch sight of them.
Anyone over the age of 13 or 14 finds themselves suddenly a child again, anywhere between 8 and 10, and if they have a weapon of choice, it's in their hand.
At the end of the room, on a sharp throne that looks as though it belongs to a boogey-man, sits the world.
He has a bandage covering his eyes, and a sword in his hand, and he is simultaneously the most terrifying person you've ever dreamed of and a god you'd do anything to please. ]
[ BUT I WANTED TO KEEP SINGING WITH MAYBE!LUCKY SHE DOESN'T USUALLY SING WITH ME. Heart, you're being rude again.
...Well, now she's tinier and she probably has a kendo sword since she wanted Umi to teach her, but lbr, she doesn't know how to use it and she's better off with a microphone or soccerball for a weapon. So she realistically has no weapon (i mean unlesss a microphone is helpful somehow)
peering up at the man and puffing up her face. as rins do because show no fear must look out for friends.]
The Lobby

Despite her heavy makeup and rat’s nest of hair, she doesn't look a day over fourteen. ]
