God damn, um. Well, I'm not going to spill ALL the secrets because I have to hold some back for heart game. ;) But Rider is.... god. She trusts him. Like, there's no one thing that really made her "let him in", he just sorta wormed his way in by being himself, and somehow it worked. She wants to protect him in the same way she wants to protect the people she cares about who she knows can look after themselves - it's much more about being there than being all NO STAY BACK I WILL PROTECT YOU!
And I've said it before, but she doesn't actually process Rider as a "kid", which is hilarious since she still processes people like Night and Pepper as kids and they're older than him. But, like... even though she's AU'd right now, that "I've got your back, you've got mine" sentiment is 100% accurate. She'll keep an eye on him, she'll call him out when she knows he's avoiding things he should deal with, and she fully expects and accepts that he'll do the same for her. I just.
Honestly? She's relieved. Most of the old set is there - Jill, Night, Haruki, Pepper. She hadn't gotten a chance to really get to know their pidgeon teammate, but she is sad to hear Jake's gone, and she's not too happy about the change of locales, but...
She worried about them. Even with the memories she's got back, in practice she still feels much more like Lucky of Amethyst than whoever she was back home. She doesn't like the woman she remembers being, particularly (partially because Toby didn't really like herself that much, so it bleeds over), and she really doesn't like all of the awful stuff that happened to her and her loved ones. Here can be bad, but not... in the same way. So she kind of tries to not think about it too much.
She's glad as hell to be back with her team, though. Like, seriously. She loves them so much.
