[ She crosses her arms stubbornly and tries to stare you down ]

[ REACHES UP TO TRY AND SMOOSH HER FACE. ]

Do we look like bad guys to you, nya?! Do we~?

[ She tries to pull back to escape it, but doesn't quite manage. Horrified teenager: go! ]

No? But you're really fuckin' weird, let go of my face!

[ AT LEAST SHE LETS GO. With a wide grin and puts her hands behind her back. ]

Hee~ That's right, we're not! And so we'll do everything we can to give her lots of energy~ You too, okay?!

Uh.

[ beat ]

Yeah, just. Go. Please. I'll do whatever that is from... here...

...Really?!

Mm!!

Whatever that is for you-- you should figure it out~ Something really special that only you can do! When you do that it'll warm everyone up~

[ Karen is hiding a smile behind her hand while the teenager just kind of stares, baffled ]

Uh. Yeah. I will... figure that out... and do that. From here. Alone.

[ Karen touches your arm lightly ]

We should probably go up, if she's letting us.

[ I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I GUESS I SHOULD GO UP BUT I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE HER. WHAT DO I DO #rinhoshizoraroblems ]

Starts... walking. But pauses to stop and point at her.

I'll be back to teach you a dance! [ Huffs! ] 'Cause you're not alone!

[ A giggle bubbles up from Karen despite her best efforts, at the truly baffled expression the teenage girl has on her face.

She doesn't respond, but flashes a cautious thumbs-up.

The staircase, as you go up, is dark and steep, and when you get to the top, you're faced with a poorly-lit hallway. On the right-hand side of the hallway are three identical, unmarked doors, and on the left is one door - identical to the others but for a battered plaque that says "Office". ]

[ I AM VERY CONFUSED ABOUT WHY THIS IS WEIRD AND FUNNY! Starlit is a very honest person, okay.

Poking her hands out from her sides and glancing around on her toes. ]

If you're looking for someone it's the office, right~?

If you have the key.

[ holds up amethyst key??? ]

[ Karen shakes her head ]

You have to find the person who has the right key before you can get in.

Mm...

I have an idea!

Ideas are good. What is it?

If we put on a live right here it will draw people out and then once they're excited I could ask if anyone has a key~

They wouldn't be able to hear, or come. Some of them are trapped. Some of them only exist where they are.

If we sing loud enough and with enough energy maybe they'll be able to leave!

The magic here has... rules. Unfortunately, I don't think it will work. You are welcome to try, though - if we're lucky, it might do something.

It's okay~ The real secret is Rin doesn't have magic at all! But that's okay because when Muse sings together we can perform magic! A real miracle! The other members aren't here~ But Rin will sing for all of them!

Hee~ I'm sure doing that will reach the right spot!

[ Karen just smiles ]

I'm sure you'll sing wonderfully.

[ THEN SHE WILL TAKE A DEEP BREATH. And get into the middle of the hallway and think really hard. She loves dancing. And muse. She loves Kayochin. She loves Maki. She loves Amethyst. She loves Lucky. She just wants to help Lucky and everyone that is sad and lonely. SO SHE WANTS TO FIND THE WAY TO DO THAT. But! To do that, she wants to reach everyone, if she can so she tries.

The best song for this is of course: the love they shared. ]

[ Nothing happens for a long moment, and what does happen seems to be very very subtle:

As you sing, a light trail of glittering dust appears, hanging almost-but-not-quite invisibly in the air, leading to the furthest door on the right ]

[ You know what that means? She'll just keep singing with EVEN MORE ENERGY (how is that possible?) as the dancing sort of falters a bit and she goes to check out the door. Singing is important, okok. Lucky is important. Must do both as she goes to check out the thing Lucky-- as she assumes!!!!-- is showing her. What a dumb. ]

[ The door does not seem particularly special, other than the glitter. Nothing else happens as you sing, though - that appears to be all you're getting.
