[ When your blood falls, it seems to turn into solid gems rather than droplets. The fish eats them as they sink, then turns and swims deeper into the pond.
Despite the pond being shallow, the koi seems to swim down, out of sight.
[Unsure if she wants to get wet, but... fish... and gem blood. She takes a moment to wrap her hand with a bit of the torn 'kerchief and then takes off her boots and rolls her pants up so she can at least wade into the water to see what's up with that disappearing act.]
[ The first few steps are normal, Karen wading in after you with your boots in her arms, and then the bottom of the pond seems to vanish from underneath you, and you sink much faster than normally, the water almost immediately closing over your head. ]
